Harold ‘Hal’ Gerring

A pioneer and leader in manufactured housing, RVs, and van conversions, he was recognized as a leading innovator. As founder of Holly Park Homes, he pioneered 8 foot ceilings and dormer windows in manufactured homes. In Ger/Win vans, he pioneered fiberglass sidewalls and headliners in van conversions. In Amerigo he pioneered fold out sleeping areas on RVs before slide outs became popular.

James F Shea Jr.

One of the founders of MHARR and a leader in the promotion of affordable quality homes, he was a leader in the development of the landmark Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000. He was Ohio MHA s outstanding manufacturer in all years from 2001 to 2006, and was recognized in 2002 with the National Association of Home Builders National Housing Quality Award. He was a member of the Midwest MH Show committee and served as Advertising Chairman.

Mike Schneider

A long time member of the Go RVing Coalition and RVIA Public Relations Committee, he and his company are among the strongest proponents of the RV lifestyle. He led his company to become the largest consumer organization (publications, clubs, shows, and retail outlets) in the country. As a writer, publisher, manager and chief executive, Mike has been an able and active promoter of the RV industry and the RV lifestyle.

John Martin

He served as Executive VP of the Trailer Coach Association where he organized the first Dodger Stadium Manufactured Housing/RV Show in 1965. In 1968, he became CEO of Mobile Home Manufacturers Association where he led the move from Chicago to Washington DC in 1969 and through the merger with TCA and SEMHI helped form MHI in 1975. He was one of the early board members of the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 1972 where he became an honorary lifetime supporting member of the foundation. In 1967 he was named California Housing Commissioner by Gov. Ronald Reagan.

Michael R. Evans

A housing retailer with locations in 4 states serving customers in 10 states and providing affordable housing to over 12,000 families. He has served 20 years on the board of the South Dakota Housing Association and the North Central Manufactured Housing Institute. He has served several governors on issues of manufactured housing taxation, movement and zoning.

Doug Gorman

He was a charter member of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Consensus Committee as the only housing retailer on the committee. He is Past-Chairman of the MHI Federated States Division representing retailers and community operators and has been recognized 9 times as MHI Retail Center of the Year. He has served as chairman of the Great Southwest Home Show.

Leonard Brown

A long time New York MHA leader, and Pennsylvania MHA leader, he was MHI Retailer of the Year in 2000 & 2001. The Founder of Volume Buyers LLC, a combine with 45 housing retailers, and founder of Low Management, a MH transportation firm with 14 vehicles, he is a developer of communities with over 500 homesites. He worked with the North Eastern states Departments of Transportation to structure similar transport laws from state to state.

Ellwood A. Titcomb

As the President of Americorp, he has, since the 1940s, pioneered the development of housing communities throughout the country. His efforts were key in getting oversize homes permitted on New England highways where he was President of the New England Mobile Home Association. He pioneered no steps ground level home placement in communities in New England, California, and Florida.

Mary Irene Younkin

A 60+ year veteran of the RV and housing industry, she chaired the Ohio MHA convention for 12 years and has served the OHIO MHA for over 30 years. For many years, she directed the RV side of the family business while her husband, Floyd, directed the housing sales and communities. She founded Dycom Industries to develop housing communities and promote the use of fiber optics in Florida. Mrs. Younkin joins her late husband and her son in the RV/MH Hall of Fame.

Perry Yoder

He served the RV industry with 4 manufacturers and with a component supplier. In 1975, he patented a slide-out mechanism for RVs. A member of the IMHA-RVIC board from 1978 to 2001, he served 3 terms as RV Council Chairman; he also served as chairman of the Midwest RV Show committee. In 1990 he was named association Citizen of the Year
