James F. Shea

James F. Shea, Sr. founder of Fairmont Homes and Gulfstream Coach, a manufactured housing and RV manufacturer from Nappanee, Indiana. A pioneer builder of 14 foot wide homes, he was also the first manufacturer to use 2x6 side wall construction. He introduced slide outs and basement storage in class C motorhomes. He was the first manufacturer to provide hydraulic slide outs. A long time MHI Board Member he was also one of the founders of the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform. He was a leader in supporting the formation of the national federation of manufactured housing retailers.
