ELKHART, Ind. -- Sales and marketing professional Sally Miener has joined the executive staff of the RV/MH Heritage Foundation as vice president of marketing and development, according to Darryl Searer, CEO and president, RV/MH Heritage Foundation (Foundation).
Miener has more than 24 years experience in influential management positions with Continental Research Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri, a 48-year-old manufacturer and distributor of specialty chemical products and durable goods to industrial, educational, institutional, commercial, and government accounts. In 1991 she started as executive assistant for special projects to the chairman of the board. She quickly moved up the corporate ladder, and by 2004 she was promoted to vice president marketing.
In 2009, she joined Directline Industries, a startup aftermarket division of Continental Research Corporation, responsible for developing and selling advanced corrosion presentation coatings under house brand and private label to OEM, commercial, government, distributor, and retail accounts in U.S. and Canadian markets.
Miener earned numerous leadership and service awards during her tenure at Continental Research Corporation.
Miener earned a Master of Arts degree in marketing and communications from Pittsburgh State University, Pittsburgh, Kansas; a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Tarkio College, Tarkio, Missouri; and an Associate's Degree in computer science from DeVry University, Kansas City, Missouri.
Miener fills the vacancy created after Judy Jankowski's resignation last month.
"It's a really exciting time to be a part of the RV/MH Heritage Foundation," Miener said. "The donors and volunteers are the real heroes here and I look forward to getting to know them and their impact to the heritage of the industry. I also believe in the future vision for the foundation and hope to contribute to it by expanding the foundation's visibility, impact, funding resources, and donor support."
Searer said, " We are very lucky to find a person of Sally's caliber so quickly. I spent several days with her earlier this month and believe she is a perfect fit for the challenges ahead and a creative voice in planning and executing our Foundation's future."
